Doing the morning nature photographer thing on the beach at Buxton, NC, only a few hundred meters from where the Hatteras Lighthouse used to be (which means about a kilometer from where it is now, after having been moved further back from the encroaching tide.) I couldn't pass up a cloudline mimicking the surf now, could I?

Due to the blue color of the sky, I selected just the red channel for this image – the lack of red in the sky creates the darkness in the monochrome version, the same as using a red filter on B&W film.
