The subject for one particular Shoot-In was 'Boundaries'. I had been out one night trying to stage what I felt would be a neat shot, but conditions weren't working out (there's never a train around when you need one). Bicycling back, I came across this scene which I'd been noticing for weeks and meaning to shoot. I had no batteries in the camera (they're long discontinued) and the light was from an overhead streetlamp. I took a stab at the exposure and, to my delight, hit it dead on.

It became my Shoot-In submission for that week, but also one of my favorite monochrome images.
