The wild blue phlox (<em>Phlox divaricata divaricata<\/em>) that <a href=\"http:\/\/wading-in.net\/walkabout\/2015\/10\/oh-youre-still-here\/\" target=\"_blank\">surrounds the Japanese maple<\/a> right out front seems confused over the season, since it hasn&#8217;t produced any flowers since May, but this lone stem is trying to be different. The Girlfriend had pointed out yesterday that there were cherry trees in bloom, anachronistically, and so I had to show this to her where I discovered it.
