So I&#8217;ll clear two add-ons and reduce the <em>amount<\/em> of deficit by a small degree. Seriously, I shouldn&#8217;t even be doing this, since I&#8217;ve got a shitload of photos to sort too, and will be returning to that once this is posted. Anyway, two from this morning.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wading-in.net\/walkabout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/WetCamelliaLizard.jpg\" alt=\"Carolina anole Anolis carolinensis peeking from camellia Theaceae leaves\" width=\"750\" height=\"1141\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38984\" \/><br clear=\"all\"\/>It&#8217;s been raining for two days straight, with only pauses here and there, so activity among the critters is much reduced, but this Carolina anole (<em>Anolis carolinensis<\/em>) chose to peek out from the camellia leaves during a lull, only to find me standing there. Just can&#8217;t win&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Further off, and the find that made me get the camera out in the first place (this time around, anyway,) were these unidentified lilies with another occupant.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wading-in.net\/walkabout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Wazowski.jpg\" alt=\"green treefromg Dryophytes cinereus peeking around edge of unidentified lily leaf\" width=\"750\" height=\"1227\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38985\" \/><br clear=\"all\"\/>Sure, I could have worked around for a better angle, but we&#8217;ve seen green treefrogs (<em>Dryophytes cinereus<\/em>) dozens, if not hundreds, of times on the blog, so why do we need another full view? But a faint sense of mystery and foreboding, ah, that works better!
