If anyone wants to maintain that it doesn't take much skill to photograph a hummingbird at a feeder, they won't find me arguing with them. Though I might urge them to try it first – the little buggers are so fast that the noise of the mirror slapping up, the first part of the complicated sound that results when you trip the shutter, can cause them to take flight before the shutter has even opened.
But yeah, at the very least I want more hummingbird pics at natural settings like flowers. Believe it or not, I have yet to get a nice species that will attract hummingbirds growing someplace where I have regular access. We need more nurseries around here.
Anyway, I'm not displeased with the detail captured in this feeder shot, so I won't complain too loudly.
