So am I weird for liking this pic so much? I don't know, swamps are pretty cool, but maybe it's just me…
Taken at the Audubon Society Corkscrew Swamp outside Naples, Florida on an overcast day, the subdued light seems to work. The slight haziness to the reflections makes the water seem black and oily, unless you look close at some of the stems at bottom center, and realize that the water is quite clear, almost amazingly so. The swamp at the edge of the Everglades actually has good flow and is far from stagnant, making it a favorite of numerous animals in the area.
