Alright, I'm open to hearing what people think about this one, which I believe is a Pearl Crescent butterfly (Phyciodes tharos).
For a simple subject with any number of framing and composition options, I personally feel this is pretty strong. The subject and the leaf it rests on are sharp and well distinguished from the background, the background remains recognizable but undistracting, and the butterfly's placement within the frame, as well as the direction it faces, lead off into the open space of the frame. And there's two main colors, split between subject and background.
