It's not too often that you get presented with a nice collection of complementary colors, and perfectly naturally at that. At a nearby pond chasing green treefrogs in a patch of pickerelweed (Pontederia cordata,) most likely an eastern tiger swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) posed cooperatively on one of the blue flower spikes, providing a nice little spot of bright contrast. The bonus was the clearwing moth species (Hemaris) that appeared in the background at another flower spike, trying hard to be subtle.
