On, apparently, a good day for fishing, three species of waterfowl shared a small patch of the lagoon in their hunt for glass minnows and finger mullet. Bottom to top, a little blue heron (Egretta caerulea), a snowy egret (Egretta thula), and of course a highly-recognizable great blue heron (Ardea herodias).
Not sure what the criteria for cooperation is, since I've seen territorial squabbles over distances much greater than this. Perhaps there was just enough for everybody that day (though this definitely seems beyond the reasoning power of a bird).
