Originally in color, but you could barely tell. In fact, if the mouth was closed you might have no idea at all. Close to closing time at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, the colobus monkeys were tuckered out from a daylong romp, and were collapsing exhausted all over the cage. I got in close and caught this one in mid-yawn, though with the little fist it has almost the look of a frustrated squall. Alas, shooting through the abused clear acrylic of a monkey cage does not make for the sharpest of shots...
