I was trying to balance the movement of the water with the stillness of the little tussock island, and liked the position of the bare yellow leaf (I didn't place it, it was already there). I also like how the leaves underwater actually stayed visible.

This is the head of the mighty Neuse River in NC, not too impressive at this point. Only a few hundred meters (yards) away is the spillway from Falls Lake. When here, I spent more time in the water than out of it, with my shorts, sandals, and trusty waterproof tripod.
