Bizarre effect

On the same night that I took the panoramic seen here, I was standing in the Indian River Lagoon doing time exposures of the distant thunderstorm. The moon was just rising from behind the cloudbank while the lightning was still active deep in the clouds, so a long exposure brought out both of them, producing this curious combination of light in the sky.
