With the sky bright but showing some hazy clouds and the first full moon of the year about to rise, I decided that I needed an outing, and headed down to (of course) Jordan Lake. There’s a spot on the causeway where both moonrise and sunset can be seen easily, so the only switching that I’d have to do would be, at worst, sides of the road. But
Slow, slow, slow that’s what it’s been, though there’s an outing scheduled for today that may yield more pics. Right now, we’re going to go back a few days at least.
The general rule for me is, if I have the time and go out waiting for the sunset, the results are incredibly lackluster, but if the conditions are stunning, I’m doing something else. This is one example,
Perspective, in the usage of considering some topic from a different standpoint than originally, is a great thing, and something I play with a lot on this blog. In the usage of how things appear to us visually, based on our position, it’s a useful thing to play with in photography as well. But sometimes, it’s hard to override our mental perspective to recognize the visual one.
