Poking around at night by the headlamp again, endeavoring not to get eaten by a bear, I realized there was a faint sound that kept repeating, and I didn’t recognize it as anything ‘typical’ – the frogs were making a racket down at the pond, but this wasn’t a frog. So I started following

One of them videos
I finally got around to completing one of the two videos that I had on the docket, but we have to lead into it a little.
The backstory: With the gout of warm weather a short while back, the various amphibians around the yard (among many other critters) leapt into action and were out making a dogawful racket some nights – as in, it was actually painful to listen to from short
Podcast: Guest speakers
It’s been a while since the last podcast, but you knew I’d return, and this time, it’s with some guest speakers. This was recorded less than an hour ago, and not quite in Walkabout Studios:

But some of that is due to conditions, too.
It is perfectly expected to be mired in the lingering
More of what the night holds
Last year at some point I purchased a couple of surveillance-type video cameras, units that can offer both live views and semi-autonomous recording. Only one is weatherproof, however, and it relies on a network cable, so the applications are a little limited. Nonetheless, I use it for monitoring areas in the yard that are likely to show something interesting – for instance, the frog activity
