Gotta be magic

I’ve got a couple of posts that I’m trying to get to, and yet things keep popping up that deserve the bloggish attention, so they get pushed back a little. I seem to be running in this vacillating state between no posts while tackling other projects, and then too much to post. Geez

Okay, you remember when I talked about the read more

Estate Find XIIX (deal with it)

This one’s several days old now, but it fits, unless I find something better today (I’m typing this Thursday to have it ready, but will happily bump it as needed.) Out once again with the headlamp at night, I saw a dark spot at the edge of the lawn near the front door that I was pretty sure hadn’t been there before.

I forgot…

… that it was Earth Day, but I’d gone out to the neighborhood pond for the first time in weeks, just to see what was going on, and so I have some pics for it anyway.

Look now, look all around

It’s the beginning of the chorus from ‘Planet Earth,’ the first release from Duran Duran, but the very next line is, “There’s no sign of life.” I’m using it ironically, so it’s okay – in fact, I get bonus irony points because I think hipsters are dipshits. All too brief

On Sunday, the temperature topped 22°c (72°f,) making me break out the sandals for the first time since November – they’re my summer footwear, if I’m wearing anything at all. I had a student, and these images came from our session out scouting conditions and planning for the busy season come spring. It was easy to believe it was here already.

Then came Monday, with the read more
